Sandhill Cranes

DSC_1803E
We have only ever seen Sandhill Cranes once before and that was on Manitoulin Island but we knew that their fall migration had begun so we kept our eyes peeled on a trip to Sarnia yesterday. And you can imagine our amazement when we spied these two lovely creatures feeding in a field just off the road! At some points as we watched them they seemed to mimic one another so much so that they resembled synchronized swimmers.
