A Windy Port Burwell

The weather looked threatening as we set out on Monday morning so we packed some rain gear and hoped for the best. By the time we got there it was sunny, but the wind was howling! Most of the bird life was hunkered down with the exception of gulls, cormorants and vultures.

It was definitely a day for hanging onto your hat!
In a more sheltered area further up the beach near a small stream we ran across a pair of Semi-palmated Plovers. (I think)

And the Cormorants seemed to enjoy staying out of the wind on their perch in Big Otter Creek.
