The weather is continuing to be dreary and the forecast is calling for extremely, possibly record-breaking lows. So there isn’t likely to be too much birding action going on this week especially with all of the hacking and coughing going on at home. It might be a good time to repair my down coat which has started springing open of its own accord! Not a challenge I look forward to but probably a good use of this time. And most of the birdwatching will likely to be confined to the backyard feeders and trees. Is it too much to hope for a snowy owl to visit? Who knows. Anyhow, this morning visitors included Juncos, Black Capped Chicadees and a Goldfinch. We have not seen many Goldfinches lately! Anyway, we’ll keep the feeders filled and see who comes to visit.
