Sailboatday 138
Now that sailing season has arrived and we have the dinghy back in the water, it’s likely that much of our birding will be done around St. Marys and Wildwood for the next while. With the lake and the surrounding woods and lagoons, it’s a great spot to watch birds. Regulars there during the summer usually include Bald Eagles, Vultures, Red-winged Blackbirds, Great Blue Herons, Swallows, Kingfishers, Green Herons, Terns and Gulls. Hopefully, with our keener eyes we will be able to identify a few more birds and add them to the list. I managed to spot a few birds while we (he) sorted out the rigging before we got into the water.
