The trees are looking beautiful this week and the temperature has been great for getting out and walking. We decided to go to St. Marys to take a look at the trees and birds of course and to walk along the Loop walking trail. From the trestle we could see some a couple of swans, a goose of some unknown variety, lots of mallards, Canada Geese, a couple of Great Blue Herons and a lot of Vultures seem to be on the move as well.
It took an eagle-eye to spot this lone Grebe fishing at the edge of the pond.
And just as we were about to leave one of the local Ospreys put on a great display of its fishing and soaring
abilities. It didn’t seem too bothered by the audience on the trestle just below it, either.
It has been months since we have spotted any Bald Eagles in this area though.
