The sun broke out briefly during the afternoon last Saturday on the way to London and the Hawks seemed to be making the most of it. But it was short lived. In typical, early spring fashion, it clouded over and began to snow.
We noticed that the water was visible on Wildwood Lake for a small strip close to the dam near the highway. From the bridge we could see Gulls, Common Mergansers and a few Bufflehead Ducks enjoying the open waters. As we walked toward them they took off. At first we thought it was because of us, but it was more likely because of the Bald Eagle that flew over!
