Sunday was a lot less foggy than the previous day, so we decided to go walking at Wildwood Conservation Area. We drove through St. Marys to see if any of the Snowy Owls that we have seen along the back roads have returned but we didn’t see anything. However we did see a Northern Harrier and a couple of Red-bellied Woodpeckers near the Thames just outside of the town.
And if you look way up into the tree below, you can see an adult Bald Eagle.
The woods were pretty quiet though. Small flocks of Chickadees moved through from time to time, and a few Cardinals and Blue Jays and a Downy Woodpecker, but other than that, we didn’t see much else. All in all, a fine day for a walk!
