Snow shouldn’t really be a surprise in February, but the weather has been very unpredictable this year. We thought we’d go towards Port Elgin this Sunday morning but the roads were greasy and slippery so we went over to St Marys instead. It was a hawk and eagle day!
Lots of action along the river, mostly Mallards, Canada Geese, a few Common Mergansers, a Red-tailed Hawk and a small flock of Goldeneye that moved up and down the river from time to time.
And finally, one of the local Bald Eagles made an appearance flying along the river straight towards us. Why thank you!
