Rumours of migrating warblers prompted us to head to Rondeau for a quick look on Labour Day Weekend.
We did a lot of walking and saw a number of warblers that were not at all interested in being photographed, but it was a fine day out. We ran into a young man on a bike who stopped to chat about birds and told us that he and his younger brother had had a birding competition going all summer long! Wonderful! But my favourite encounter was an older gentleman playing a wooden flute to his grandchildren’s delight as they walked along the path.
