Following the blustery, snowy, cloudy weekend the sun returned and the roads were pretty dry without any impending storms on the horizon so we decided to make a break for it and drive outside of town to cut down our Christmas tree. Having read about a lot of Snowy Owl sightings we were on the alert, scouring the trees and poles and fields, camera at the ready. And low and behold we came upon a gorgeous Snowy Owl sitting on a telephone pole on the Wellburn Road!
Oh, and we also got a tree!
